About Me

About Me

Molly A. Gilbert, LPN

Reiki Master

Welcome!  My name is Molly and I am a Reiki Master Practitioner.  Shortly after I was trained and attuned in level 1 Reiki, I started working on clients and I realized I could tell people what their body was telling me.  Medical Intuition has become a byproduct of my Reiki sessions, and I love being able to dig into the energetics of why someone might be experiencing certain health issues.  I also love astrology and I often use medical astrology as another tool to give me insight into your unique situation.

I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse and I am currently licensed in MA, RI and NY.  My background in nursing is in the medical spa industry and plastic surgery, both on the reconstructive side at a level one trauma center and on the cosmetic side at a private practice and med spa.  Currently, I work for a medical device company doing on site support, management and operations.

Before I went into nursing, in 2004 I started working in the beauty industry.  I worked for a large beauty retailer and I was also a professional freelance makeup artist.  I still pick up makeup jobs occasionally, depending on the project.

Most importantly I am a devoted cat mom to my 4 female cats – Squirrel, Skunk (AKA Karen), Fat Baby and Beyonce.

In addition to being an animal lover I also enjoy spending time on my various hobbies.  My number one hobby by far is astrology.  I spend a good amout of time every week tracking energetic patterns in  the sky to make sure i’m always flowing with the current energies at hand.

If any of you were curious – I’m a Leo sun, Leo rising and an Aquarius moon.  I also have a fun stellium in Sagittarius!

In addition to astrology, I have also taken an interest in numerology which is the science and study of numbers.  I love to weave both into my appointments with clients if it makes sense to do so!  As far as spirituality, pretty much everything interests me!  I enjoy meditation, journaling, crystals and sound bowls as well as treatments like massage, acupuncture and Reiki.  Self care is very important to me, because you cant pour from an empty cup!  Its just like they say on an airplane, you have to put the oxygen mask on yourself first, before you can help others!

I also enjoy being by the ocean – its my dream in life to have a beach house one day.  I also LOVE a good sunset, trying new restaurants (especially sushi!) and I’m always on the hunt for a good acai bowl.

I love concerts, comedy shows and any sort of live entertainment, I think of myself as quite the amateur photographer because i’m always taking pictures of EVERYTHING (especially my cats)

You can also find me traveling, snorkeling, kayaking, reading, painting, baking, ice skating, doing origami, going for walks, listening to podcasts – I could go on and on!

What can I say, I love to be able to experience all that life has to offer!

Thank you for stopping by my corner of the internet to get to know me a little better, I look forward to working with you!

My Story

If you’re Molly,

then who is Tiger?

Well, thats a great question.  I’m still not quite sure but i’ve got a few guesses…

1983

I was born in Rhinebeck, NY.  My Paternal Grandfather was the original gangster of wellness.  He owned Gilbert Brothers Dairy Farm and they had an organic health food store out front, that was the first of its kind.  My dad was a vegetarian who eventually became a massage therapist.  My mom was an ultra nurturing, very typical Cancer and also a self proclaimed hippy.  Growing up we didn’t have a TV, my sister and I actually played outside and read books.  We loved and appreciated nature and animals.  Nothing was really off limits in terms of spirituality so I just grew up thinking it was normal to read your horoscope everyday and for your dad to be dowsing and your mom to have a crystal collection.

2006

I’ve always been a little “woo woo” But after a really sad breakup I found myself searching for the meaning of life.  I would say this was the “soft launch” of my spiritual awakening

2016

In July of 2016 I lost my Mother to leukemia.  I would say this was the “hard launch” of my spiritual awakening, as in – feeling like I was being launched off a cliff.  Death is the ultimate teacher about life.  It really puts things in perspective.  Not only about how short life is but it also really shines a spotlight on your purpose and the impact you’re making in the world.

2019

In September, right before I started nursing school I was shopping for school supplies at  Target.  I remember stopping in front of a display of pencil cases and decided I should get one to house all my newly acquired pens and highlighters.  I glanced over all the options and felt called to grab the one with the tiger on it.  At the time it seemed like such a small flippant decision, but now looking back I know I was being guided.  Thats the thing i’ve come to realize, we are ALWAYS being guided even if you’re just shopping through Target on a random Tuesday.

2020

Sooo yeah.. the pandemic happened.. that was fun.  But this is where things get good.  One night in December 2020 I woke up in the middle of the night and I was in that weird place in between sleep and wake and I heard someone whisper in my ear –

“Her Name is Tiger”.

It was one of those profound, life changing moments where for just one moment everything made sense.  I felt those words in every single cell in my body even though I had no idea what it meant.  I was too tired to decipher it in the moment but when I woke up the next morning I couldnt get that thought out of my head.

Who was Tiger?

2021

In January 2021 I noticed my partner had a scroll on his wall with a Chinese character on it.  I asked him what this character stood for and he said “It stands for Tiger – it means Power”.  My jaw dropped, but I filed that little bit of information away.

Tiger = Power

Also, by this point im seeing Tigers everywhere, nonstop.  On TV, posters, shirts, mugs, stuffed animals etc.  I assumed it was some kind of sign and I was being guided so I went with it.

2022

In July of 2022 I made the decision to move from New York to Massachusetts.  A few days before I left I had a dream that someone was doing Reiki on me and it was extremely peaceful.  When I woke up that morning I felt called to Google Reiki Practitioners near my new location and I found someone amazing.  I started doing monthly Reiki appointments and saw such a transformation in myself.  I was hooked.

2023

After doing consistent Reiki appointments for a year, I was enjoying Reiki so much that I wanted my cats to be able to experience it as well.  (plus I need them to live to be 100) I felt silly asking my Reiki Practitioner to come chase my cats around and do Reiki on them, but she said “why dont I teach you to do Reiki, I have a class coming up”.  So I decided to sign up for class with the sole purpose of learning it so I could use it on my cats.

2023

In September I did Reiki Level 1 and it changed my life.  I felt like I walked out of that class a different person and threw my old self in the dumpster out back.  I was immediately tapped into something so much greater than me and it started to unlock such unique beautiful gifts in me, that had most likely been there all along but I was finally able to remove what was blocking them.  I am no longer drained by people, places or spaces because I know how to tap into an unlimited source of energy, enough for me and everyone around me.  It’s been such an amazing unfolding process, and I’ve gotten to make some new friends along the way.

2023

By October I had decided I wanted to start my own Reiki business, but I didn’t really know where to start.  A few days later I was leaving work and I was listening to a podcast about being a spiritual entrepreneur.  The woman speaking said if your business had its own conciousness what would it look like? What would it sound like? Most importantly – What would her name be?

I immediately flashed back to that night in December of 2020 when I heard those words whispered in my ear

“Her Name Is Tiger”

Thats how Tiger came to be.  She is the pure embodiment of the power that lies deep within us, if we can only be brave enough to unlock it.  She is within all of us and her power is the essence of my business.

2024

It took me a while but i’m finally getting this business up and running.  Its scary but I’m trusting that this was placed in my heart for a reason.  By getting to heal you it helps to heal me too, and hopefully we can start to uplift this world we live in.
